Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Current situation
Seeing the Celtics win 5 games in a row is hardly surprising at this point of the season. The team is clicking on all cylinders, just at the right time. Having one of the deepest rosters of the NBA has allowed head coach Joe Mazzulla to rest his big name players on occasions, but for Wednesday’s game he should have everyone available. Boston is 7-1 SU in 8 home games and has 6 wins in 7 games vs Western Conference opponents.
Oklahoma City just had their 7-game win streak snapped at the hands of the Denver Nuggets who got an all-important split in the baseball series between the two teams. The loss won’t bother the Thunder too much, they still sit in a comfortable lead atop of the West standings and are likely going to enter the postseason as the number one seed. OKC still has a 6-game win streak active in road games coming into Wednesday’s game.
Boston Celtics Stats & Form
After a double-digit win over the Lakers, Boston rested Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis on Monday as they took down the Utah Jazz 114-108. Sam Hauser scored 33 points to lead the way, while Jaylen Brown added 26 and 8 rebounds. This is the strength of the Celtics, they have 7 or 8 players on their roster capable of dropping 30 points on any given night. No other team in the NBA has anything similar.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
After scoring 40 and leading the Thunder to a win over the Nuggets, SGA had just 25 in the rematch a day later as OKC fell at home 140-127. Unlike in Sunday’s game, they couldn’t do much defensively against Nikola Jokic who went for 35 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists on an insane 15-for-20 from the field. This only highlights the Thunder’s issues when trying to guard opposing big men on the inside. It’ll be interesting to see if their approach changes in Wednesday’s game.
Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Head-to-Head
Only 197 points were scored in the first meeting of the season between the two teams back in early January, with OKC winning by 13 points. Boston has had more success over the last 15 meetings, winning 10 of them. Interestingly enough, backing the over has been a profitable bet in 7 of 8 meetings between the two teams played at TD Garden.
Boston Celtics – Oklahoma City Thunder Odds
If you feel like Boston can extend their win streak to 6 games in a row here, odds of 8/11 are available for a home win. Backing OKC will get you odds of 11/8.
The point total has been set at 225.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder (12.03.2025)
We are expecting a completely different game compared to the one we saw in Oklahoma City when the two teams met back in January. Boston really struggled to score in that game, but things should be different this time around as they play in front of a packed TD Garden. Jayson Tatum also got an extra night of rest which should do him well here, against OKC he’s averaging 27.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in the last 10 meetings. Only two teams in the NBA have a better offensive rating than the Celtics do over their last 5 games, this team is scoring 121.7 points per 100 possessions. They will certainly be challenged by the Thunder here, this defense has been very consistent all year long. After getting torn apart by Denver on Monday, I’m sure they’ll change their approach a bit coming into this game. Still, you have to like Boston’s chances here. They average 17.8 made threes per game for the season, with that number jumping to 18.2 per game at home. They’re also 6th in efficiency from downtown, so they are not just putting up shots from deep, they are also making them at a consistent clip. Al Horford’s return to the line-up should also not be underestimated. The veteran center had a really good game against the Lakers a couple of nights ago, he should be able to handle Chet Holmgren on the inside. We are sticking with the Celtics here.
