Arsenal vs. Everton Tip

It’s the final weekend of the Premier League season and with the title and relegation places decided, all eyes will be on the battle for the top four.

Tottenham Hotspur are guaranteed to finish in second place and unless they suffer a heavy defeat at Watford, Manchester City should finish in either third or fourth place.  This leaves Liverpool, currently in 4th place on 73 points, as the one club Arsenal can realistically move above on the final day of the season.

Arsenal are just 1 point behind Liverpool in 5th place and the Gunners know, if they can win their match against Everton at the Emirates, they need Liverpool to lose or draw at home against Middlesbrough.

While that may seem unlikely, Arsenal must concentrate on their own game and get the job done.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal have come into a bit of good form towards the end of the season, winning their last 4 Premier League games.

This is in contrast to the spell between the end of January and the beginning of April, which really cost Arsenal this season.  During that period of games, Arsenal lost 5 of their 8 fixtures, with defeats coming against Watford, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

However, since the loss at home to Crystal Palace, Arsenal have won 6 of their 7 league games, a run which has been good enough to keep them in contention for the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger will be pleased this match is at home, where Arsenal have lost only 2 league games all season.

Everton Form

Everton have nothing left to play for this season and are guaranteed to finish in 7th place, just missing out on European football.

Form has not been great in recent weeks and Everton have won 1 of their last 4 Premier League games, which came at home to Watford last week.

Away from home, Everton have really struggled this season and since winning their opening 2 away games, have won only 2 more in the Premier League.  That’s a run which has seen the Toffees lose 8 and draw 6 of their away league fixtures and this is the main reason they are not competing for the European places.

Team News

Laurent Koscielny could make a return to the Arsenal defence for this game and although he has been struggling for fitness, Alexis Sanchez is likely to start the match.  Both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are doubtful.

Everton could welcome back Maarten Stekelenburg and James McCarthy to the starting XI but with no fresh injury concerns, Ronald Koeman will probably stick to the same team which started the match against Watford.

Top Betting Tips: Arsenal Have It All to Do for Champions League Qualification

Given the recent form and home and away record of both teams, it is difficult to look beyond Arsenal for the win.  You can get 1/2 with Ladbrokes for Arsenal to win the match.

Arsenal have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games and Everton have failed to find the back of the net in 3 of their last 4 games.  This makes Arsenal to win to nil a tempting bet and it is available at 33/20 with Ladbrokes.

In their last 4 home matches, Arsenal have been winning and half-time and full-time, and Coral offer 11/8 for the same to happen in this match.

Where would Arsenal be without Alexis Sanchez this season? The Chilean forward has once again proved his worth and can be backed at 7/2 with Ladbrokes to score the first goal of the game.
