Five Football Betting Tips for The Weekend

Five Football Betting Tips for The Weekend

There is plenty of football action for you to get your teeth into this weekend with the FA Cup Final taking place in England along with the final round of matches in La Liga, Serie A and Ligue Un. In this article I will be putting forward five betting tips that I have for this weekend’s matches. All of the odds come courtesy of Coral and are accurate at the time of writing.

1) Romelu Lukaku FGS vs Chelsea (5/1)

My first tip comes from the FA Cup Final in England where Chelsea will be taking on Manchester United at Wembley Stadium. Games between these two sides have traditionally been low scoring, and I’m expecting that trend to continue on Saturday. I’m backing Manchester United to win though and with Romelu Lukaku expected to return from injury against his former club, I’m backing the big Belgian to open the scoring on Saturday evening.

2) Villarreal vs Real Madrid – Over 3.5 Goals (4/6)

There’s not too much to play for between these two sides on Saturday, but Real Madrid know that if they win and Atletico Madrid lose, then they will finish in 2nd place. Real Madrid are sure to have one eye on next weekend’s Champions League Final clash with Liverpool though and therefore I’d expect Zinedine Zidane to make a number of changes for this game. Villarreal have an excellent recent record against Real Madrid, winning the reverse fixture 1-0 and winning two of the last five games between these sides. I’m backing goals in this game though, with four of the last five matches for both Villarreal and Real Madrid seeing more than 2.5 goals in them.

3) Phillipe Coutinho to Score vs Real Sociedad – (6/5)

Barcelona lost the unbeaten record they so dearly protected last weekend in a thrilling 5-4 defeat to Levante and now the La Liga champions have little to play for this weekend against Real Sociedad. I’m backing January signing Philipe Coutinho to continue his fine recent form which has seen him score five goals in his last four games on Sunday though and the 6/5 odds on him to score at anytime look great value.

4) AC Milan vs Fiorentina – Draw – (14/5)

Both of these sides will be looking to win on Sunday, with AC Milan needing a victory to guarantee themselves a 6th place finish, whilst Fiorentina need to engineer a huge goal swing to finish in 7th place. AC Milan have had a very disappointing season and with just one win in their last five matches at home as well as only two home victories against top ten sides this season, I fancy Fiorentina to hold them to a draw in this one.

5) Lyon to beat Nice – (4/9)

This is an absolutely huge game for both of these sides with their respective European qualification for next season hanging in the balance. Lyon currently sit in the third and final Champions League qualification spot, but with Marseille sitting just a single point behind them, they cannot afford to lose this one. Nice find themselves in an equally precarious situation, with them currently sitting two points above Bordeaux in the final Europa League spot. Considering that Bordeaux are playing an already relegated Metz side, Nice cannot afford to lose this game. I am backing Lyon here though and considering they are the most on form side in Ligue Un right now, they should have enough about them to win here.
