Exeter Racecourse

Exeter Racecourse is the highest racecourse in England at 850ft above sea level. Situated just outside of the town of Exeter, the course boast spectacular views over Dartmoor.

Exeter is a National Hunt track that has seen many great horses begin their careers, including Desert Orchid, who won his first steeplechase there in 1985 and Best Mate, who won his first steeplechase here in 2000.

The course at Exeter is a two-mile, undulating right-handed oval. The course is one of the longest national hunt courses and a strong test of stamina.
