Betting Tip: Bologna v Roma

Currently sitting 3rd in the Serie A, 14 points behind Napoli, Roma need to keep winning games, beginning this week against Bologna. If they are put pressure on Napoli, with Napoli away to Sassuolo, nothing but a win will be good enough from this game.

Bologna will struggle to finish anywhere other than their current position of 11th this season. They struggle to put a run of wins together and very inconsistent means they will hover around mid-table all season long.

Bologna vs. Roma | Match Preview, Prediction, Betting Tips & Odds

Serie A – Saturday 31st March 2018 – 11:30am

Bologna Form

Logo BolognaBologna in the last 6 games have only managed to win twice, however both games being home although be it facing much lesser teams than Roma. Bologna’s other games have resulted in 3 losses and 1 draw.

On the plus side for Bologna, their home form has been good recently and winning three games from six.  There have been wins over Benevento, Sassuolo & Genoa.

Roma Form

RomaThe 1-1 draw with Sampdoria last weekend was a disappointing result for Roma, who have been flying high recently before this slip up.

Di Francesco will be expecting a big response from his players in this match, which will make them dangerous opponents for Bologna.  However, it’s away from home and Roma will have to play well to overcome Bologna.

In Roma’s last 5 away games they have seen 4 wins and 1 draw, most recently drawing against Sampdoria. Although Roma have pulled off some great results away from home beating Napoli 4-2 was one of them. Other teams Roma have beaten recently away from home are Verona, Udinese & Crotone.

Bologna v Roma Team News

Bologna will be without first choice keeper Mirante as he is suspended which opens the door for Da Costa to return following injury. Poli also returns from injury meaning he could feature. Other than that minimal changes are expected to the starting XI.

Roma I don’t think will make any changes to their starting XI. I’m expecting the same squad to play as their 2-0 win over Crotone. Roma do have an upcoming game vs Barcelona on 4th April however I’m hoping Roma will field a strong side.

Bologna v Roma Head to Head

Head to Head has seen Roma win 4/6 (63%) against Bologna, with their biggest win being 3-0. Other results have been draws 2/6 (33%) with Bologna winning 0/6 (0%). If we only worked from Head to Head results your money would be on Roma. Something I would never suggest we do is work purely from Head to Head stats.

Bologna v Roma Betting Tips

Looking at both teams recent form both home & away I believe Roma will have the upper hand here. Roma are a very strong side although they do have Champions League commitments im expecting them to field a strong enough side to handle Bologna. Bologna will struggle to cope with Roma I believe and with Roma likely to win 2-0 I think Roma -1 Asian Handicap looks a solid bet this is available at 2.25 with Ladbrokes.
