Denver Nuggets vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Current situation
Have the Thunder figured out a way to slow down Nikola Jokic? It sure feels like it with the 3-time MVP scoring just 20 points on 8-for-25 from the field and 0-for-10 from three. He did still impact the game with 16 rebounds and 6 assists, but if you’re a Nuggets fan you have to be concerned with the productivity coming from your big man right now.
OKC’s MVP candidate also struggled in Game 3 scoring just 18 points on 7-for-22 from the field. It was arguably the worst game of the season for SGA who averaged over 30 points per game vs Denver during the regular season. The Thunder now find themselves playing catch-up for the 2nd time in the series, after they also lost the series opener by 2 points.
Denver Nuggets Stats & Form
Jamal Murray led a balanced attack with 27 points in Game 3, helping the Nuggets once again retain the lead in this series. He got a lot of help from Aaron Gordon who had 22 points and 8 rebounds, while Michael Porter Jr. had his breakout game of the series with 21 points and 8 rebounds while playing with an injured shoulder.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
Jalen Williams took it upon himself to carry the Thunder with their superstar struggling shooting the ball, but his 32 points and 5 assists weren’t enough to prevent OKC losing for the 2nd time in this series. Chet Holmgren also had an off night with 18 points on 7-for-19 shooting, it’s not often you’ll get to see OKC shoot just 38% from the field and 25% from three in a game.
Denver Nuggets vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Head-to-Head
Friday’s game was the 7th time the Nuggets and Thunder have played each other this year if we count the regular season and playoffs and for the 7th time a different team won the game. It was the first time the two teams went into overtime and also the 2nd lowest scoring game with just 217 points scored.

Betting tip and prediction: Denver Nuggets vs Oklahoma City Thunder (11.05.2025.)
Despite leaving the court smiling after that loss in Game 3, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander didn’t have much to be happy about following that awful performance we saw. His team is desperate for him to get something going here, the Thunder are just 2-4 ATS/SU in 6 games against the Nuggets, but what is discouraging it’s the fact that Nikola Jokic had one of his worst performances this postseason and yet the Thunder were unable to steal Game 3 on the road. Pressure is now piling up on OKC, Game 4 is as close to a must win game as it can be as the Thunder cannot afford to go down 3-1 in the series. A total of just 13 teams in NBA history have successfully turned around a 3-1 deficit in a best-of-7 series, SGA and co. certainly don’t want to test that theory out. What should give the Thunder confidence here is the fact that they’ve already won once at Ball Arena during the regular season, so they know what it takes. They’ve also beaten Memphis in both games at FedEx Forum in Round 1, however both of them were close finishes. Denver has had the upper hand in clutch situations, so if we are once again in a tight situation we are more inclined to back the Nuggets. There’s also no way Nikola Jokic will have back-to-back poor performances in this series. Let’s give Denver the benefit of the doubt and back them to cover as home underdogs.
