Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Current situation
Just one win stands in between the Thunder and a return to the NBA Finals for the first time since the Kevin Durant era back in 2012. Only this time around the Thunder will be favorites when they make it there, regardless against whom they play. SGA and co. have played a total of 98 games so far this year, they’ve won 79 of them.
Minnesota’s biggest lead in Game 4 was just two points which is really disappointing for a team that made it this far only to lay an egg in a must-win situation on their home floor. Allowing 19 offensive rebounds was one of the bigger issues in that 2-point loss on Monday, the likes of Rudy Gobert and co. just haven’t looked good on the interior this whole postseason run.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
The 128 points scored in Game 4 was a team high for the Thunder in this series. The trio of SGA, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams clicked right from the start, they accounted for 95 of OKC’s 128 points. However, we would argue their performance on the defensive end was even more impressive with Minnesota forcing 23 turnovers which resulted in 25 points.
Minnesota Timberwolves Stats & Form
Consistency has eluded the Timberwolves in this series, especially their two best players Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle. In the biggest game of the season Ant Man came up with just 16 points, while Randle had a nightmare game scoring only 5 on 1-for-7 shooting. The duo also combined to commit 10 turnovers between them, that’s just not going to cut it at this stage.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Head-to-Head
It has been a high scoring affair whenever these two teams have met this season. In 8 games played between them only once a team went under 100 points and that was the Timberwolves in Game 1 of this series. The over has now cashed in 5 of 6 meetings, perhaps that bet is worth a look for Game 5? OKC has won 6 of the last 10 meetings.
Oklahoma City Thunder – Minnesota Timberwolves Odds
Backing OKC to close out the Timberwolves gets you odds of 3/10. If you like Minnesota then odds of 13/5 are available for them to stay alive in this series.
The point total has been set at 220.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves (28.05.2025.)
OKC weathered the storm to perfection in Game 4 and now with a 3-1 lead they are looking to close out the Minnesota Timberwolves and move on to their first NBA Finals appearance in over a decade. Right from the get-go you could just see the Thunder playing with a different mindset in Monday’s game, they forced Minnesota into 7 turnovers in the opening 12 minutes of play which disrupted the T’Wolves from gaining pretty much any momentum in the game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again showed why he is the MVP scoring 40 points and dishing out 10 assists, he got massive help from Jalen Williams who is proving he is one of the better sidekicks in the NBA. Now we head back to OKC for Game 5, the Thunder have won 5 straight home games this postseason, so far in 51 games played at the Paycom Center this year they’ve lost only 8 times. We are witnessing the maturation process of this team in real time, closing out the Timberwolves on Wednesday night would be massive for Oklahoma City as the East Finals are likely going more than 5 games which would give OKC a rest advantage prior to the NBA Finals. With 6 wins in 8 games vs Northwest division opponents you have to like the Thunder’s chances here. Let’s back SGA and co. to cover and advance to the NBA Finals.
