Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets: Current situation
Game 4 showed us the main strength of the Oklahoma City Thunder and why they were so successful during the regular season. This team, although very young, has finally mastered the art of winning games in which they don’t have a distinct advantage on the offensive end. Powered by a strong effort on defense and timely baskets down the stretch have given them back home court advantage in the series.
Just 8 points scored in the opening frame of Game 4 highlighted just how badly the Nuggets opened that game. The NBA didn’t do them any favors by scheduling this game for an early start, following a Game 3 which went into overtime. The Nuggets age and lack of depth is starting to show, it’s only a matter of time until this team falls apart.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
Soon to be named MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the scoring with 25 points on Sunday, he did get help from his teammates with 4 of them scoring in double-figures. However, the Thunder cannot be happy with that performance offensively despite the win, but if there’s one positive to take away from that game it’s the fact that they outrebounded the Nuggets once again 55-49, with 15 of those boards coming on the offensive end.
Denver Nuggets Stats & Form
Despite another 7-for-22 showing, Nikola Jokic led the scoring with 27 points in the Game 4 loss. Jamal Murray and Christian Braun each had 17, while Aaron Gordon added 15. However, you’d be hard pressed to find a player on the Nuggets roster to have shot 50% or better in that game. Turnovers were also a problem with the Nuggets finishing the game with 13 of them.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets: Head-to-Head
The 92-87 final score in Game 4 was the lowest scoring output in 8 games between these two teams played this regular season and postseason. Denver did cover the spread, they are 6-2 ATS in 8 road games in Oklahoma City. Interestingly enough, the under has been the most profitable bet in games between these two teams lately, cashing 9 times in 13 games.

Betting tip and prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets (13.05.2025.)
Game 4 was an absolute slug fest by both teams, especially when it came to three-point shooting. The two teams combined to shoot just 21-for-86 from downtown, so it’s no wonder we saw the lowest amount of points in a head-to-head match-up this season. OKC will be happy with the win, the last thing they wanted was going down 3-1 before the series shifts back to Oklahoma City. It was an impressive comeback given that Denver was up by 6 points going into the 4th quarter. But the Thunder held their composure and despite SGA struggling a bit in the clutch, they were able to pull out the win. Pressure is on the Thunder yet again in Game 5, the oddsmakers certainly think they’ll win this game having them favored by double-digits. However, no team has won back-to-back games all year in meetings between the two teams, so you have to wonder can the Thunder finally do that? Nikola Jokic has been rather disappointing this series, which isn’t something that we see happen often. At certain parts late in the game he looked gassed, that could be said about a couple of more Nuggets players right now. They just don’t have the depth the Thunder do, which could prove to be costly for an aging roster like theirs. OKC now has the momentum going into Game 5, backed by a sell out crowd at Paycom Center we are confident they can get the job done. Denver’s best chance of winning will come in Game 6 when the series moves back to Ball Arena. We recommend backing OKC to cover on Tuesday.
