Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Current situation
Game 3 couldn’t go any better for the Timberwolves as they responded in a massive way following back-to-back double-digit losses to start the series. We saw a completely different team on Saturday, with the likes of Julius Randle finally playing well in the series and lesser known players off the bench contributing in a big way. The rebounding battle was won 50-31 which just shows how much more the Timberwolves players wanted this win.
The ball movement was slow, the effort on the glass just wasn’t there and the Thunder suffered their worst defeat of the postseason on Saturday. It’s hard to pin point what exactly went wrong, but OKC’s approach to the game just wasn’t right as they were down by 20 points after the first 12 minutes of play and they could just never recover.
Minnesota Timberwolves Stats & Form
Anthony Edwards had his 5th postseason game with 30+ points this season, but more importantly he got 6 other players to score in double-figures to help him get a crucial win in this series. As a team the Timberwolves shot 57.3% from the field, while also making 20 of 40 three-point attempts. The play of Randle has to make you happy if you’re a Timberwolves fan, he finished with a team-high +38 on the +/- in Game 3.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
When Ajay Mitchell leads your team in scoring with 14 points you won’t win many games, especially in the postseason. Recently crowned MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game to forget, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren were the only two starters to score in double-figures with 10 and 13 points respectively.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Head-to-Head
Neither of the 3 games so far this series have been close, continuing a trend from the regular season where only one of the 4 meetings were decided by less than 4 points. Backing the under has been a profitable bet in head-to-head games in Oklahoma City with 9 of the last 11 games cashing on that bet.
Minnesota Timberwolves – Oklahoma City Thunder Odds
A Minnesota home win gets you 11/8 odds, while if you fancy the Thunder you can get them at 4/6 odds to win here.
The point total has been set at 218.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder (26.05.2025.)
It’s funny how one game can cause such a swing in an NBA series. Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves are back in the thick of things following a masterful performance on Saturday as they destroyed the Thunder by 42 points. The energy of Minnesota was at a high level right from the start and that’s exactly the mindset they have to have in Game 4 if they want to tie things up on Monday. Ant Man started off hot outscoring the Thunder by himself in the first quarter and it was all smooth sailing after that for the T’Wolves. MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was nowhere to be seen, accounting for just 14 points on 4-for-13 shooting and 4 turnovers. OKC just couldn’t handle the avalanche that came their way which is surprising considering how well they’ve played on the road this postseason. It’s a pretty quick turnaround as Game 4 is just 48 hours later, all the good things they did in Game 3 will go out the window if the Timberwolves can’t tie this series before it goes back to OKC for Game 5. Saturday’s win was their 10th in 11 home games, plus they are also 10-4 ATS in their last 14 vs Western Conference opponents. This series is far from over, we expect another big time offensive performance from the home team in Game 4, let’s back Minnesota to cover again.
