Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks: Current situation
Known for being the comeback kings this postseason, the Pacers actually allowed the Knicks to be just that in Game 3 as they let a 20-point lead slip away in the 2nd half. Betting tip and prediction: Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks (27.05.2025.)
Can a team win a game at home in this series? For the 3rd meeting in a row between the Knicks and Pacers the away team scraped out a win and we have ourselves a series now. The Knicks got 24 points from Karl-Anthony Towns and 23 from Jalen Brunson as they took down the Pacers in Game 3 on Sunday. The defense was also on point, that was one of the major adjustments head coach Tom Thibodeau did on the fly in Game 3 as the Knicks held Indiana to just 42 points in the 2nd half while scoring 36 in the 4th quarter. Clutch play was also a factor and that’s where KAT exceeded expectations after the Knicks turned to him following the injury to Brunson. All of that effort in Game 3 will go to waste though, if the Knicks aren’t able to repeat it on Tuesday. It was a very uncharacteristic game from a coaching standpoint as Thibodeau played 4 players off the bench giving them double-digit minutes, something that hasn’t happened often this postseason. Depth has been one of the major issues for the Knicks in the postseason, not only this year but in seasons prior. With more players getting a chance off the pine, the starters get extra minutes to rest and heal up which is huge as we enter this stage of the postseason. It’s hard to expect Indiana to shoot 5-for-25 again in Game 4 from downtown, just one of those threes came from a bench player as they shot a combined 1-for-4. Expect a more potent Pacers offense in Game 4, we believe an increase in the point total is a likely outcome here, so let’s back the over for Tuesday’s game.
