Betting tip and prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Indiana Pacers (06.05.2025.)
A Playoff series does not start until a road team wins a game, they say. Well, we are one game into the series between the Cavaliers and Pacers, that has already happened. Indiana completely outshot the Cavs in Sunday’s game, connecting on 19 threes compared to just 9 by Cleveland and now the best team in the East has to figure out how to improve with just 48 hours in between games. Darius Garland once again did not play due to his toe injury, but with the series lead now in the hands of Indiana he might be forced to return earlier than expected to help his team. Although Donovan Mitchell had 33 points in Game 1, he shot just 13-for-30 from the field and 1-for-11 from three, those numbers will have to improve on Tuesday if Cleveland is to level the series. Playing a bit of defense on Tyrese Haliburton would also help, he torched them for an efficient 22 points but also distributed 13 assists which is the 2nd highest amount he’s had this postseason run. A collapse like this by Cleveland was very unexpected, Indiana has now won 4 of 5 meetings this year if we count the regular season. So is it time to panic if you’re the Cavaliers? We would say not yet, but going down 2-0 is not an option here. The sense of urgency will be a lot higher for the home team, it’ll be interesting to see how they respond after their first defeat this postseason. The oddsmakers still favor the Cavs by 9.5 points, we jus feel like that is a bit too much after what we’ve seen in the 5 match-ups between the two teams this year.
