Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Current situation
History isn’t on the Indiana Pacers’ side as we head into Game 6, despite them playing in front of a packed Gainbridge FieldHouse. When trailing 3-2 in a best-of-7 series the Pacers have a 2-13 series record, so it will take a massive effort for them to turn things around here. Tyrese Haliburton was held scoreless in the first half for the first time in his postseason career, he will be re-evaluated ahead of Thursday’s game.
Jalen Williams is slowly making a name for himself. He became the first Thunder player with 25 points in 3 consecutive NBA Finals games since Kevin Durant did it back in 2012. Monday’s 40-point performance was only his 2nd ever 40-point game and the first time he did it in the postseason. If he can repeat that performance on Thursday he could snatch the Finals MVP award from SGA as well.
Indiana Pacers Stats & Form
T.J. McConnell tried his best to make up for the absence of production by Tyrese Haliburton. He stepped up off the bench and scored 18 points, to go along with his 4 assists, but with Haliburton failing to make a field goal it was impossible for the Pacers to be competitive in that game. Pascal Siakam delivered his usual 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, if by some miracle the Pacers re able to win this series he is unquestionably winning the Finals MVP Award.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
Only two starters scored in double-figures for the OKC Thunder in Game 5 and it turns out that’s enough to win a game at the highest stage. Jalen Williams erupted for 40 points and 6 rebounds on 14-for-25 shooting, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 and 10 assists. Defense is what got the Thunder the win on Monday as they recoded 12 blocks and 15 steals, compared to just 4 and 9 by the Pacers.
Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Head-to-Head

Betting tip and prediction: Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder (19.06.2025.)
The injury to Tyrese Haliburton couldn’t come at a worse time for the Indiana Pacers. With the series tied at 2-2 and a road game in front of them, Haliburton tweaked his right calf early in the game and he was never the same from then on, finishing with just 4 points on 0-for-6 from the field. The stubbornness of head coach Rick Carlisle also didn’t help as he played his point guard 34 minutes despite knowing he wasn’t at 100%. Indiana lost back-to-back games for the first time since early March, they now face elimination as the series shifts back to Indianapolis for one final time on Thursday. Closeout games are never easy, but when you have the MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander you are in a good place. SGA has scored 30+ points in 4 closeout games this postseason run alone, he is expected to carry the Thunder on the road after yet another sublime performance of 31 points and 10 assists in Game 5. Jalen Williams also played a huge part in that win with 40 points, the duo is neck and neck for the Finals MVP award as we enter Game 6. Indiana’s chances will depend on Haliburton and whether or not he is able to play at a high level. With 2 days in between games we feel like that isn’t nearly enough for a player to recover from a calf injury, so let’s back the OKC Thunder to deliver the knockout punch and win their first ever NBA championship.
