Wimbledon 2018 Predictions, Betting Tips – Women’s Fourth Round

‘Manic Monday’ is upon us at Wimbledon and it has been one of the most remarkable tournaments in recent years – with only one of the top 10 seeds left in the draw as we head into the second week. Serena Williams has returned from the birth of her daughter and impressed on the grass at SW19 whilst Grand Slam champions Angelique Kerber and Jelena Ostapenko are also in contention in what promises to be a fascinating week of tennis.

With the draw being so open, picking a winner for any match is very hard to do:

Angelique Kerber vs Belinda Bencic

Odds:

Angelique Kerber – 1/3 (William Hill)

Belinda Bencic – 9/4 (Betfred)

Number 11 seed and former Wimbledon runner up Angelique Kerber looks to continue her fine form on Monday as she takes on the Swiss starlet Belinda Bencic. Kerber has been impressive this week in South-West London, epitomised by her routine win over Naomi Osaka in the last round whilst Belinda Bencic has bounced back from a difficult couple of years to equal her best performance at Aorangi Park. This could be one of the ties of the round between two of the biggest hitters on the WTA Tour.

Head to Head

This will be the 4th meeting between these two players and it is Bencic who holds a 3-0 lead in the head to head – with the Swiss youngster having never dropped a set against her German counterpart.

Top Match Bet

This match could be significantly closer than people think and Bencic is more than capable of springing a surprise here.

Belinda Bencic to win the match – 9/4 with Betfred.

Serena Williams vs Evgeniya Rodina

Odds:

Serena Williams – 1/10 (Coral)

Evgeniya Rodina– 7/1 (Ladbrokes)

Tournament favourite Serena Williams has made it into the second week as she seeks her 24th Grand Slam title and first since becoming a mother. Despite not playing much competitive tennis for the best part of a year, Williams has looked at home once more on the grass at Wimbledon and will once again take some stopping at the All England Club. Evgeniya Rodina is enjoying her best performance at a Grand Slam by reaching the fourth round – having come through qualifiers and she showed great resilience to defeat Madison Keys in round 3.

Head to Head

This will be the first ever meeting between these two players – who are both mothers on the WTA Tour.

Top Match Bet

Serena looks imperious at her favoured Grand Slam and will take some stopping – despite the plucky efforts of Evgeniya Rodina, it should be a relatively routine win.

Serena Williams to win in straight sets – 1/3 with Betway
