Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Current situation
In their 2nd consecutive game without leader and best player Stephen Curry the Warriors suffered their 2nd consecutive loss. Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga showed up in a big way, but at this stage of the postseason you have to have a complete team effort in order to win games and the Warriors just aren’t that good without their best player.
The Timberwolves are now looking to take control of this series with another road win, their spirits will be high after that comeback win in Game 3 on Saturday. Head coach Chris Finch opted for a very short rotation in that game, only 3 bench players got involved with 3 starters logging 40+ minutes. Minnesota is now just 2 wins away from returning to the West Finals.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga combined to score 63 points in Game 3, but the rest of the team chipped in with just 34 more points. That’s alarming if you’re head coach Steve Kerr, but then again everyone knows that without Curry in the line-up the Warriors are just an ordinary team. Adjustments are expected in Game 4, but with a limited roster you have to wonder does Kerr have any tricks left up his sleeve?
Minnesota Timberwolves Stats & Form
After struggling offensively with his shooting in the first two games, Anthony Edwards returned to form in Game 3 delivering a sensational performance with 36 points and 5 threes made. He also got a ton of help from Julius Randle who had 24 points and 12 assists, the dynamic duo is making a case for best one-two punch so far this postseason and it’s hard to argue with that at the moment.
Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Head-to-Head
Minnesota has had the edge in head-to-head meetings winning 6 of the last 10 games. However, from a betting perspective it would make more sense to back the Warriors given that they’ve covered the spread in 6 of those 10 games. Minnesota’s track record at Chase Center is impressive over the last 5 wins with 4 wins and just 1 loss.
Golden State Warriors – Minnesota Timberwolves Odds
The shorthanded Warriors are priced at 7/4 to get the win, while if you fancy Minnesota you can get them at 1/2 odds.
The point total has been set at 199.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves (12.05.2025.)
Just as we anticipated the Timberwolves took full advantage of the shorthanded Warriors in Game 3, inflicting them their 2nd home loss of the postseason and now all the pressure is on Jimmy Butler and co. to respond. Going down 3-1 would be a disaster, Golden State would face elimination on the road in Game 5 where they would likely be without Curry who is still recovering from his hamstring injury. Despite the lack of offense in Game 3, the Warriors have actually come under a lot of criticism for their lack of presence defensively. In particular Draymond Green failed to show up, recording just 2 rebounds and turning the ball over 5 times in the 29 mins played. With the way Minnesota has played on the road lately, relying on defense a lot more than in home games, Game 4 could once again be a slug fest so look for Draymond Green to respond. Golden State will get another big game from Jimmy Butler, that’s a given considering how he shows up in big moments. However, can the Warriors count on another 30+ point performance from Kuminga off the bench? We do not believe so. Minnesota has this team right where they want them, this is the perfect opportunity to get themselves in a comfortable position as the series moves back to Minnesota. We recommend going with Anthony Edwards and co. in Game 4. Back the Timberwolves.
