FA Cup Fourth Round Replay Acca

FA Cup Fourth Round Replay Acca

It is FA Cup fourth round replay action this week to liven up the midweek. There are three Premier League clubs still looking to find safe passage through to the next round, namely Spurs, Swansea and Huddersfield. So is there any hint of any FA Cup upsets still happening in these replays or did the underdogs in the respective ties miss the boat at the first time of asking against their higher ranked opponents? Here we take a quick preview of this weekend’s Fourth Round Replays and consider the options available in a To Win & Over/Under 2.5 goals Acca.

Birmingham v Huddersfield

Birmingham have been improving so well recently that they should be in with a decent shout of knocking off Premier League opponents Huddersfield in this fixture. The Blues have won three of their last four home games now and they are taking on a Huddersfield side which doesn’t offer a great deal going forward. The Terriers have failed to score in three of their last four away games now and will be at risk at St Andrews. The Blues may well be able to progress but look under 2.5 goals as there’s not a tremendous amount of scoring power around.

Rochdale v Millwall

There was a cracker of a 3-3 draw at the Den between these two, as Millwall just about survived against the Dale with a 90th-minute equaliser. They probably would have been expecting a much easier time against the League One relegation strugglers. Now Millwall hit the road in a tricky away game and the Lions have won just twice on the road all season in all competitions. Those two wins have been in their last two away games though. Rochade are winless in their last five on home soil at Spotland though, so back the Lions and over 2.5 goals.

Swansea v Notts County

Swansea are feeling much better about themselves at the moment. It has been quite the turnaround from Carlos Carvalhal since taking over at the Liberty Stadium. Swansea are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions now after drawing with Leicester in the league on the weekend. The Swans needed a home replay to get past Championship leaders Wolves in the last round and they can see off League Two side County in this replay. However, under 2.5 goals looks the option as the Swans are looking pretty organised at the back.

Tottenham v Newport County

Spurs would, of course, be the banker of any kind of acca in midweek and they are in this one. Can they take the game over 2.5 goals is the real question in this one? Well, Spurs have scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight games at Wembley, so probably. They had a poor game at Rodney Parade and even though with a day’s less rest than their opponents ahead of this one, Spurs can win it and take it above the 2.5 goal line.
