EFL Cup 4-Fold Bet

The Carabao Cup returns this week with some intriguing ties taking place across Tuesday and Wednesday night. There are a number of all Premier League ties taking place, including Swansea City vs Manchester United and Tottenham vs West Ham United on Wednesday night. They are just two of the games that will feature in this accumulator bet preview with all of the odds coming courtesy of Ladbrokes and accurate at the time of writing.

Arsenal v Norwich

Arsenal take on Norwich on Tuesday night fresh from their 5-2 demolition of Everton on Sunday afternoon. Alexis Sanchez looked back to his best at Goodison Park, but Arsene Wenger will be expected to make a whole host of changes ahead of Tuesday nights game. Norwich also come into the game full of confidence after winning their derby game against Ipswich last time out and the Canaries currently lie in the playoff places in the Championship. I think we could be in for a tight game on Tuesday with Arsenal making changes, but I think they will still have too much for this Norwich side.

Swansea City v Manchester United

Jose Mourinho will be keen to avoid making it three games without a win by beating Swansea City on Tuesday, but with huge Premier League matches coming up against Tottenham and Chelsea and a number of injuries in his squad, the Portuguese manager will surely make changes. Swansea will have targeted the cup as the perfect chance to find success this season and Paul Clement will name a strong side for this one. I still think Manchester United will have too much for Swansea though and this will be a great chance for some of the fringe players to impress their manager.

Bournemouth v Middlesbrough

This could be the clash of the night on Tuesday as a struggling Bournemouth side take on a Middlesbrough side who have underachieved so far this season. Big things were expected of Boro this season after spending large sums of money over the summer, but they have not had things all their own way and another defeat to Cardiff City at the weekend left the club down in 13th place. Bournemouth have had their own struggles too and Eddie Howe’s side have picked up just seven points from nine games this season and sit 19th in the Premier League. I’ve backed a draw in this one and I think we could see some goals in the game too.

Tottenham host West Ham United at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night with Slaven Bilic having just two games to save his job according to the press. Spurs picked up a big win on Sunday, beating Liverpool 4-1 thanks to two goals from their main man Harry Kane and fans will be confident of seeing another victory on Wednesday night. I’m backing Spurs to win this one, because even though they will make changes for the game, they are one of the most well organised teams in the league, whilst West Ham are all over the shop at the moment.

Spurs to win – 2/5
