Doncaster Racecourse

Doncaster Racecourse in South Yorkshire is home to the St. Leger, the fifth, final and oldest Classic of the British Flat Racing season. Doncaster Racecourse runs Flat Racing meetings throughout the season in the run up to the St. Leger, including the Lincoln Handicap Stakes. Doncaster Racecourse also runs the Racing Post Trophy in October, the final Group 1 race of the British Flat Racing season. Doncaster Racecourse also runs Jump events over the winter, including the Great Yorkshire Steeplechase in January.

The Flat Racing course at Doncaster is a two-mile course with a four and a half furlong run-in. It is left-handed, pear-shaped and galloping, mainly flat.

The National Hunt Course at Doncaster is a two-mile course, left-handed, galloping and generally flat, where it is rare to find heavy ground.
