Chepstow racecourse

Chepstow racecourse is located between Bristol and Cardiff, a few miles from the Severn Bridge. The course hosts a mixture of 27 jump and flat race meetings, including The Coral Welsh National, The Tote Silver Trophy, The Rehearsal Chase and The Oakgrove Stud Golden Daffodil Stakes.

The flat course is an undulating one-mile seven-furlong left-handed oval with a four-and-a-half furlong run in. There is also a one-mile straight course for sprints.

The National Hunt jump course is a one-mile seven-furlong left-handed circuit, which is renowned for its tough going. The three and three-quarter mile Coral Welsh Grand National is run over two laps of this course.

Chepstow railway station is just over a mile from the Chepstow Racecourse and direct services operate from Gloucester and Cardiff, from London via Newport, and Bristol via Severn Tunnel Junction. A special raceday bus service also operates from Chepstow train and bus stations to the racecourse.
