Celtic News & Form

The Hoops had an easy job in the previous round, eliminating Sarajevo 5-2 on aggregate. They won the first leg on the road 3-1 and just finished the job in Glasgow, dominating their rival for most of these two games.

The Scottish Premier League hasn’t started yet, but the Hoops have built their form for the Champions League qualifiers. Striker Odsonne Edouard and winger Scott Sinclair bagged a goal each against Sarajevo and will look to net a few more against the Estonian side at home. The manager Neil Lennon will miss left-back Kieran Tierney (hip), but all other players are ready to go.

Nomme Kalju News & Form

The Pink Panthers made a huge upset in the first round, eliminating the North Macedonian champions Shkendija who were listed as strong favorites to reach the second round. Nomme Kalju beat Shkendija on away goals, losing 1-0 at home and winning the second leg 2-1 on the road.

Kalju is currently sitting at the 4th spot of the Estonian Meistriliiga with 40 points out of 20 rounds, scoring 34 goals in the process and allowing 17 in a return. The Brazilian striker Liliu is the best player in this Kalju team, and he’s scored 12 goals this season along with eight assists, while another striker Alex Matthias Tamm added eight goals.

Celtic vs Nomme Kalju Head to Head

This will be the first duel between Celtic and Nomme Kalju.

Betting Odds and Predictions: Celtic v Nomme Kalju

The bookmakers expect Celtic to demolish the Estonian champions, and the Hoops are listed as enormous 1/20 favourites with Bet365. The Pink Panthers are 40/1 underdogs with Betway that offers 16/1 odds on a draw.

The price on Celtic to cover a two-goal handicap is 4/9 with Coral, while Nomme Kalju is set at 4/1 with Ladbrokes to suffer a loss by one goal. The bookies are pretty sure they will see a bunch of goals in the first leg, and the price on the over 3.5 goals is 8/15 with William Hill. Still, the bookies don’t expect Kalju to score a goal, so the wages are 7/4 on both teams to find the net with Ladbrokes.

Our Celtic vs Nomme Kalju Betting Tip

Sarajevo is arguably a better team than Nomme Kalju, so Celtic shouldn’t have any problems to thrash off the Estonian champs. The Hoops would like to decide the winner before the second leg in Tallinn, and picking them to win by three or more goals at 4/9 odds with Bet365 seems like a sure shot.

If you want to take a risk, go with the Asian handicap and the Hoops to cover three goals at 4/6 with 888Sport. The visitors will defend with all ten players, trying to keep their net intact as long as they can. However, they will need to be pretty lucky to avoid a heavy loss at Celtic Park.
