The first of four NFL matches to be played in London this season will be showcased on Sunday, September 24th. The match at Wembley Stadium will see the Jacksonville Jaguars (who are striving to become London’s franchise) take on the Baltimore Ravens. Wembley will go on to host another game at the start of October before Twickenham, the home of England rugby, gets to host two NFL matches. So the number of games in the UK is growing after three NFL match-ups were hosted in London last season.
It is an early season meeting for the Jaguars and Ravens as this will be just the third match of the season for both of them. So far the Ravens have hit the ground running with two wins from two in the AFC with some defensive might having been laid down as well. They completely shut out the Cincinnati Bengals in their opening victory before taking a 24-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
They will be going up against the Jaguars from the NFC South who themselves opened with a victory as they took down the Houston Texans, but then found themselves coming up a long way short against the Tennessee Titans last weekend. It is the Ravens therefore who are going into this London clash on Sunday as the favourite and they are trading at a price of 1/2 with Coral to earn the points, leaving the Jaguars out at 8/5.
The Ravens, who finished 2nd in the AFC North last season, couldn’t get into the play offs with an 8-8 record.
